About Askari Bank Limited:
Founded on October 9, 1991 as a joint-stock company, Askari Bank obtained its license, Article 27 of the Banking Companies Ordinance, 1962 from the State Bank of Pakistan on February 13, 1992. Mr. Saeed Haider Bhatti is said to have issued the license. Later, in June 2013, the bank was acquired by the Fauji Foundation, making it a fully commercial and retail bank. As of now, the Bank is listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange. Previously, it was only listed on the Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad stock exchange.
